Women Within has touched the lives of over 7000 women in North America, Canada, Mexico, Paraguay, UK, France,
Germany, Norway, Denmark, Saudi Arabia, Monaco, Italy, Switzerland, Greece, Malta, South Africa, Botswana, Ghana,
Australia, New Zealand, and more...
What is the training?
The Woman Within Training is a programme designed by women, for women and staffed by woman. This can be a very
intense and emotional experience, and may not be for you at this time. This is a "guided" program in
that sessions are in sequence, leading the participants to descend into one's deep feminine self and retrieve a
part that has been buried for one reason or another; then to ascend with that lost part reclaimed and to celebrate
the wholeness that is felt. The program is not intended to be a substitute for therapy and it complements any
therapy. Women in all stages of their "journey" can and do gain from the Woman Within experience. It
is designed in such a way that each woman will find her own path. Sessions include: journaling, small group work,
large group work, individual sharing, meditation, movement. Most sessions are held indoors; however, we encourage
you to dress according to the weather because there is movement between buildings.
Is the weekend residential?
Yes, Friday evening 6pm to Sunday 5pm. We ask that you arrive well rested - Friday evening runs until approximately
midnight, Saturday begins at 6.45am and runs until approximately midnight and Sunday begins at 7.15am and concludes
between 4.00 and 5.00pm.
Can anyone attend?
Yes, this weekend is available to any adult woman regardless of race, sexual orientation, religion or physical
ability - from 18 years to.........
Can I smoke?
The buildings itself are non-smoking areas. However, there are breaks when smoking is allowed in the gardens.
How many women attend?
Between 15 and 30.
How many staff are there?
There will be up to thirty women staff who have all been through the weekend. Our programme is based on the
concept of women supporting women in their growth. Participant to Staff ratio is 1:1. The staff does not lead,
they follow a step behind. All staff have "walked the same Woman Within path".
What if I want to leave?
The staff are your guides and support on the weekend, however, you yourself choose your level of commitment and,
after consultation with a senior facilitator, you are free to leave if you so wish. There are always choices
throughout the weekend - know that you may decline from participating.
Where did Woman Within come from?
This is a programme which was founded in the USA and is offered extensively in North America as well as the UK,
with as many as 7000 participants to date. .
Who offers the training?
There are six regions offering the Training weekends on a regular basis (five in the USA and Canada and one in the UK).
Is it similar to the Mankind (New Warrior) program?
The Mankind Project is an international men's network of interdependent centers with members all over the world.
Its stated mission is to assist men in "reclaiming the sacred masculine for our time through initiation,
training, and action in the world." The Woman Within program is similar to the Mankind program and yet
very different.
What does 'trust the process" mean?
The phrase " trust the process " is very common among Woman Within participants. We ask women not to
disclose our program content for many reasons - two of them being: licensing rights and personal experience.
My experience may not be the same as yours, and in specifically outlining a session I may inadvertently set
you up to be disappointed if you do not experience the same result. My journey is mine, yours is yours, and how we interpret and/or react to stimuli is very different based on our family history and current status.
What are the "Empowerment Circles"?
While not an integral part of the Training itself, we encourage participation in an "Empowerment Circle"
after the weekend, if possible and available in your area. This circle is a group of women who have completed the
Training and wish to come together to support, encourage, and challenge one another in the continuation of the
journey began on the weekend. Again, this circle is not intended to replace therapy. We do not encourage nor
advise women to continue the "deep" work done during the Training later in their Empowerment Circle
setting. This circle is intended for support and the sharing of a common bond.
Can I attend if someone I know is also participating (or staffing)?
Whether or not you attend with a relative or friend is up to you to decide. Discuss this among yourselves.
There is the opportunity for separation - usually there are two teams with two groups each, so we can separate
you if desired.
