Empowerment Circles

Through compassion, accountability, guidance and support, each woman in circle is empowered to discover and explore her own sense of meaning and purpose. The clarity that comes from self-awareness has the power to heal the world.

The guided E-Circle will explore:
* Group dynamics and development
* Ritual
* Commitment to the circle
* Feelings
* Self-awareness
* Effective listening
* Reflection and I statements
* Boundaries
* Family roles
* Conflict management
* Moving through fear
* Knowing guilt
* Feeling and releasing shame
* Reclaiming
* Separation

At the end of the guided circle you will have the skills and choice to participate in an empowerment circle providing opportunity for continued support and connection.

The guides
The empowerment circle will be guided by women who are active in the community and have significant experience leading empowerment circles. These experienced guides will work alongside one or two apprentice guides. A guide's role is to analyze or diagnose. They will offer a structure and tools, clarify choices and mirror feelings back to the circle.

Format
The empowerment circle may be offered in one of three formats:
* 12 weekly sessions
* Intensive 2 day weekend (non-residential)
* Self-guided circle

Please note: The guided, empowerment circle is neither a therapy group, nor a place for deep process work. You are responsible for your own participation and well-being. If you are consulting with a doctor or therapist we recommend that you seek their approval if you wish to join the guided circle. If emotional issues are triggered, you may need to strengthen your support network and seek professional help through therapy, healing or a 12-step program.
