How Can I Get More Involved?

We are looking for women to step into open Council roles. Serving on the Council is a space where you can safely step into your leader with the support and mentoring of other Council members. Any woman in our community can step up, regardless of when you did your Woman Within weekend, or your level of involvement in Woman Within. It requires a commitment to attend Council meetings ( in person or by conference call) once a month, and to be accountable for your area of focus.

- Marketing & Communications Leader
- Programs Leader
- Inclusion (multicultural) Leader

Being on the Council may seem like too much of a commitment in time and energy for you in your life right now. At the same time we know that you have unique talents, skills, passions and energy that can serve our community and your own personal growth. We have therefore created the role of Community Coordinator. A Coordinator is not required to attend Council meetings--she is responsbile to update the Council by email or phone before each Council meeting. This is an opportunity to be involved in a specific area of focus:

- A local Area Representative
- Empowerment Circles
- Staffing Support
- Fundraising
- Creative Projects
- Any other area that you would like to contribute!
