Please use the following as a guideline for submitting articles, interviews, upcoming events, artwork, poetry, essays, short stories, etc. to the heartbeat newsletter:

The purpose of this newsletter is Connect, Communicate and build Community between the women in the Chicago/Wisconsin area as well as across all other regions around the world.

Any article that speak to women mentally, physically, emotionally or spiritually will be considered for publication. 

Interview articles are NOT limited to interviews of WW women or MKP men although the article can contain information about other related areas of interest. 

Articles about the continued growth of women after their Initiation weekend are especially welcome as well as articles that challenge women to see issues from a different perspective.

Articles for the Create column can be about any creative expression, such as painting, sculpture, any crafts, music, writing, etc.  If clarification is needed, send an email to mary.heartbeat@gmail.com. Featured artists are welcome from any part of the world, both from WW and MKP.

Articles can include links to web sites embedded in the article.

Articles can include a brief promotional paragraph at the close of the article if the author is involved in or presents seminars, workshops, gallery showings, or has any other sort of business, etc , along with web site links and contact information. 

Submissions to upcoming events can include events outside of WW sponsored events.  There should be some connection to WW or MKP, such as the woman involved in the event.

WW submitting something to the newsletter should include her name, the month and year and location of their WW Initiation Weekend (also known as the WWTW) along with the same information for any WW women and MKP men appearing in photos used in the article, with the exception of large group photographs. 

A photograph of the article writer is encouraged although not required for articles and interviews.  Articles from MKP men are also required to supply the equivalent information.

Article Tip:  One of the best ways to market a product or service is to give a little bit away. Think about the free samples, discounts and free shipping which are used to sell products.  The same can be applied to seminar and workshop and other services provided.  Consider creating an article that gives away a little bit of your service, seminar or workshop in writing.  This can give the reader a better understanding of what you have to offer and stimulate more interest in signing up for your seminar, workshop or service.
