Ask Crone OTD: by Judith Pauly
Dear Crone Judith:
My question is? Whenever I do something really good and others tell me I was great, I often go into a place of denial or shame. Why is that? I want to eat or drink or waste time or just play a game on the computer.
Can you help me? I feel silly sometimes about this because I know I should feel happy and don't.
Can you help?
Waiting and Wondering
Dear Waiting and Wondering,
Yes Indeedy. What you describe is what I call the 'DON'T DESERVE TO BE CELEBRATED' syndrome. sometimes the EGO part of us has a deep belief that we are not worthy. It can come from the silliest places and show up in the silliest ways.
Perhaps you were not acknowledged when you were little and are still waiting for mom or dad to notice how great you really are and someone else saying it doesn't work for you.
Or perhaps YOU are the one who sabotages the good you perform because for some other silly reason you believe you are not good enough for praise.
SOULUTION: It is time to change that belief about yourself and one simple way to GET OVER IT is to look close into the mirror at your eyes until you connect with your SOUL. then pull up a happy thought and with "titties apart and open heart" say " I AM AN AWESOME WOMAN. I DESERVE TO BE CELEBRATED AND AM EXCITED TO BE CELEBRATED. Do this until you can feel the energy shift.
Then whenever those old thoughts creep back in just remember TITTIES APART OPEN HEART!!! and breathe.
Blessings my dear.
