Women For Afrika Leadership Project Appeal Yvonne Taylor
To ensure the ongoing work of Woman Within in South Africa, it is necessary to train resident South African women as Facilitators.
Due to the high cost of 'importing' Facilitators and Facilitators in Training (Fits) on each weekend. Yvonne Taylor (Woman for Afrika's International Coordinator and Council Member) is assisting two exceptional women in South Africa by raising money for travel expenses to attend WWL2 Training in Texas, USA in January 2008.
The purpose of the WWL2 Training is to develop these talented women as Fits in South Africa with the ultimate goal of becoming Facilitators. It is anticipated that the WWIL Board will assist with the fees for the workshop. Cost of travel between South Africa and the USA is prohibitive given both the comparatively lower earnings in South Africa and the high foreign currency exchange rate.
We are requesting that if you are able to help by making a donation – whether that is $10, $20, $50, $100, $200 or more that you make your donation online now.

Listen to Your Mother by Joanne Mahler
Many years ago, I began to regard Mother Earth as my mentor, recognizing her repeating cycles as a platform that would both support me and at the same time model the grace, magic and transformation I was seeking in my life. This year, as the seasonal shift revealed itself and those long, lingering summer days began to shorten, I felt what at first had seemed like a bit of sadness develop into something more intense. Soon I was experiencing myself in full warrior-mode against the cosmic wheel -- resisting the call, digging in my heels, refusing to budge.

Tony Schanuel: Artist Revisited
Three of Tony Schanuel's works have just been aquired by the Musuem of Fine Arts Houston for their permanent collection. For an artist to be recognized in this way for creating musuem quality work is high praise and a great honor -- an honor often reserved for artists who are no longer living. Tony and his wife, Mary (WWTW May 1996), are alive and well and living in St. Louis, MO.
Tony Schanuel is an award-winning digital artist who has fused a professional background in photography with
advanced digital technology to create fine art that transcends both mediums.

Essential Oils and Aroma Therapy by Mary Walilko
Plants not only play a vital role in the ecological balance of our planet, but they have also been intimately linked to the physical, emotional, and spiritual well--being of people since the beginning of time.
The plant kingdom continues to be the subject of an enormous amount of research and discovery. At least 30 percent of prescription drugs un the United States are based on naturally occurring compounds from plants. To continue click on http://www.womenincircle.org/heartbeat/20071104.html

Care of the Soul by Diane Geiser
As a therapist, the client enters the office depressed, unable to feel motivation,
not feeling productive, problem eating, sleeping, with relationships, and work . . .
The cycle of depression is causing ”self- blame”-- "why can’t I be motivated, work,
accomplish the goals/tasks I set?"
So I educate the client, we discuss depression, symptoms, the healing begins,
New attitude = new behavior.
The following is discussed: putting a positive spin on depression . . .

Untitled
I am grateful to the guides and the group for helping me be free of bondage.
This past weekend has taught me how to talk,
to speak words, to hear words to enjoy words.
Honored to be alive and valued
uniquely celebrated.
To feel connections that were gone
To people, friends, family, self and G-d.
Released of shame
Freed to be, without shoulds, doubts, and fear,
Ready to unite in tranquility
serenity, harmony with one.

War and the Soul: Healing Our Nation’s Veterans from Post-traumatic Stress Disorder
by Edward Tick, Ph.D.
As they looked into each other’s eyes, she saw him disappear behind the grayness. “It scares me when you leave like that”, she said. “I know”, he replied sadly. “I want to stay . . .but I don’t think I will ever be able to.”
He is a Viet Nam vet, his soul lost in post-traumatic stress disorder. Over 58,000 American men and women died in Viet Nam, 300,000 were wounded, 100,000 committed suicide, 150,000 are homeless and more than 1.5 million suffer from PTSD.
Perhaps you know one of these souls suffering from moral trauma experienced in Korea, Viet Nam, Dessert Storm, or Iraq. Author Edward Tick looks into the minds and souls of veterans affected by PTSD and shows us how healing can take place.
I recommend the non-fiction book for anyone who has a loved one or a client who suffers from PTSD as well as to those readers who want to gain insight on the Warrior archetype and rites of passage.
