Ask Crone OTD: by Judith Pauly

Dear Crone Judith:

I sometimes wonder about women and anger. Despite the ecircle training most WW women have gone through, there seems to be a prevailing reluctance among most of the women I know to openly acknowledge feelings of anger, much less use a clear and safe way to express the anger. Inevitably, the anger comes out side-ways as silence, sarcasm, rage or in some other "nasty" and unclean way. Can you offer any insight in this?

Looking for Insight

Dear Looking for Insight,

Yes indeedy anger is not women's favorite emotion. Especially when there is confrontation. Probably the most common reasons are fear of not being liked. Fear of rejection. Fear of not being the good girl.

I have learned through personal experience that if I do not speak my truth and just stuff it or try to be spiritual about it, very often my shadow comes up and bites me in the buttocks and makes the issue worse.

Soulution: speak your truth using the clearing model and own your own stuff. Also, evaluate how important is the issue in the true scheme of things. Sometimes it serves us better to say "OH WELL" Can't do anything about it so let it go. And if you can do something about it DO IT.

Blessings, Crone Judith, OTD
