Sheri: Her Life Celebrated by All Women
Midwest Comes Together
The memorial in Chicago was beautiful There was a fire in the
fireplace, lots of food and flowers . . . we sang, we shared,
we cried, we laughed, we cried , we drummed, we eat, we cried,
we hugged . . .
A slide show of some photos of Sheri was playing on the TV in a
room all the time we were there. This way we could view them as
we wanted. Some of the photos were of a much younger Sheri and
some more recent
The forty plus women that attended all felt and knew that Sheri
was also there watching us. She will be with us all no matter
where we are. When we call in our ancestors on our WWTW we will
be calling in Sheri. I know that when I am on the carpet with a
participant she will be there with me. I know if I get stuck
all I have to do is say "What would Sheri do/say" and she will
be right there guiding me.
Thank you to Esther Robertson, Monica Robinson and Carol Kahn
for your time and energy to host this memorial. It was exactly
what I needed to help move through my grief. I am very glad
that I was able to come in from West Virginia.
