How to put into words the immense gratitude we feel for having had Sheri with us on so many occasions and the vast chasm that is created for us by her passing?

Our Guide – As a Weekend Leader, Sheri made everyone feel as though they mattered. As a woman, her generosity and willingness to share her knowledge and experience were remarkable.

Our Creator – In a weekend with Sheri we learned lessons that are timeless. She saw our gifts and showed us how to use them to create something unique and very special.

Our Sparkle – Europe smiled when Sheri was with us. It was always fun, warm and loving but never insignificant.

Our Inspiration – Sheri dared to dream with us and, together, we made things happen. The impossible dream of a Woman Within weekend entirely in a foreign language became a reality.

Our Friend – a connection with Sheri was a coalition of heart, mind and spirit. We are blessed that so many of us will always be able speak of you as “my dear friend Sheri”.

Sheri, as you often described each of our new projects, your passing so soon feels “perfectly imperfect” – your work with us is done and we are ready to grow the roots we put down together…and yet without you, our hearts weep and our spirits are shadowed.

The power of your smile to light us and keep us warm may be gone but we know that your shining, radiant spirit is right here with us still.

"For 20 years I had put, not only my music, but all music into a place of darkness. Sheri's gift to me was knowing how to encourage me to bring it back into the light. Every step of the way, she clapped, cheered and whooped, she cried with me then dried my tears and offered yet another piece of wisdom. Over the last summer, this song became trapped inside of me - like barbed wire it tore at my insides, stuck. Sheri's advice was "you must find a way to feed your spirit Karen". "How?" I asked. "THAT is your work". And so Circle of Hope was born.

I was so excited to have the opportunity to play it to Sheri when she was to came to England in November....but she never made it. She never heard it. Or maybe she did, because when I read the words now, they feel like Sheri's words. And I can feel her hands on my shoulders, gently encouraging me to take this music out into the world for the purpose of healing other women.

We were planning to work together on an exciting new project using my music . . . Sheri believed in me. And now I must believe in myself. Dedicating Circle of Hope to Sheri and allowing it to be heard in this way is the path to belief."

Space between us fused by candle

We have walked as one though pain and sorrow

With courage and intention for a bright tomorrow
