My work is about my childhood. As a child I could be found creating little masterpieces with found objects. I was constantly drawing, doodling, designing, and making little creatures out of rocks, fabric, found objects, etc. I couldn’t keep my hands out of creating. Little did I know that I would still be doing this at age 36.

I have never given a second thought to being an artist. It is really who I am and what I enjoy. I am inspired by my surrounds, family, nature and the rich textures of everyday life. I collect many things, including fabric, embellishments and trinkets. I love the hunt, I love flea-markets and boutique shops and traveling to far places to find inspiration.

Today, I am the founder and artist behind The Name Tiles Company. Name Tiles offers two unique product lines . . .one for children and one for pets. Name Tiles are unique, personalized and hand painted plaques for children of all ages and Pet Tiles are custom, hand painted portraits of pets.

Name Tiles are created by my child within. I love seeing the delight on children’s faces when they see their names on my Name Tiles. The excitement is contagious. Name Tiles can be found around the United States in children’s boutique shops, art fairs, pet stores and online at www.nametiles.com.

I attended my Woman Within training in the spring of 1994 in Delevan Wisconsin. Woman Within changed my life in ways that I cannot explain. I learned that it was ok for me to be who I am. That I am beautiful, loving and am capable of being loved. Today, I find myself strong, powerful and ready to tackle anything. Starting and running a successful business takes patience, strength and inner light to be successful.
